What EN590 10ppm refers to.
EN 590
A European standard that sets quality requirements for automotive diesel fuel, including properties such as cetane number, density, flash point and cold-weather performance.
10ppm
Refers to a maximum sulphur content of 10 mg/kg, which is why the product is commonly described as ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD).
Diesel and gasoil
“Gasoil” is a broader trade term for middle distillates. Depending on the market, it may describe diesel meeting EN 590 or other grades with different sulphur and quality specifications, so the exact specification is always confirmed in writing.
